AcceptEmail supports Cyber Resilience Initiative of the World Economic Forum
23 JANUARY 2013, AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS
SummaryAlong with leading companies like Unilever and ProRail, AcceptEmail has signed the Cyber Resilience Principles of the World Economic Forum. The objective of this initiative is to seek commitment to a common set of shared principles for leadership – shifting mindsets from just securing perimeters to also including a focus on interdependence and resilience.
The World Economic Forum and Deloitte recognize that the ability to provide a trusted environment for individuals and businesses to interact online is a critical enabler for innovation and growth. Digital transformation makes the protection and resilience of our shared digital environment a critical enabler for the economic growth of companies and countries.
In recognition of this, and in response to the growing threats and risks in a digitally interconnected world, over 50 CEOs have joined forces to create the Partnering for Cyber Resilience initiative. Together, the leaders of these organizations have signed a set of Principles demonstrating their commitment to taking an integrated, strategic approach to technology risks and opportunities, and to play their role in providing a resilient digital environment for all.
Geerten Oelering, COO of AcceptEmail has also personally signed the set of principles. By signing the Principles AcceptEmail supports the Cyber Resilience Initiative and acknowledges the increased awareness in The Netherlands for the subject of cyber security. The official signing ceremony was part of the Deloitte RiskLAB event that took place on 17 January this year at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.
